About
I started Faded & Found after noticing how many of the people around me, family, friends, neighbours had albums full of old photographs they loved but rarely looked at.
Cracked, faded, slowly disappearing at the back of a cupboard. The memories were right there, just buried. I kept thinking how easily they could be brought back, if only it didn't cost a small fortune to do it.
Where this comes from
I'm a graphic designer, based in Melbourne. Over the years I've put those skills to work on all sorts of things, but this is the one closest to my heart. I've always loved art, and there's something quietly moving about taking a damaged photo — a grandparent, a wedding day, a childhood summer — and giving it back its life. I especially love recolouring old black-and-white images: watching a moment return in the colours it was actually lived in.
An affordable option, on purpose
Professional restoration has tended to be expensive and slow — quotes, long waits, prices that put it out of reach for a lot of families. I wanted to change that. Faded & Found is my way of using what I'm good at to help my community: honest, fixed pricing and a quick turnaround, so more people can rescue the photos that matter to them.
Restored personally, with care
Every restoration is done personally, with real attention and a close eye, before it comes back to you. I restore what's there — I'll never invent a face, or a detail, that wasn't in your original. And if a photo is too far gone for me to do it justice, I'll tell you honestly, and you won't be charged.
Your photo stays with you
You never have to part with anything precious. Just send a photo of your original, or a scan, and I work only from that digital copy. The original stays safely where it belongs — with you.
These photographs are more than images. They're the people and moments that make a family, and it's a privilege to help bring them back.
